Our Story
In December 2023, we—AJ and I—launched Juicy Clean in Long Beach, California. But this wasn’t just a business idea. It was born out of one of the most challenging seasons of our lives.
Just a month prior, in November, we found out we were expecting a baby. That same night, we were in a car accident that totaled our vehicle, leaving us to share one car. The whirlwind didn’t stop there—on December 1st, I suffered a mild heart attack at work and spent four days in the hospital. After numerous tests and tough conversations with my doctors, we made the heartbreaking decision to terminate the pregnancy for the sake of my health and my ability to be there for my three children.
With recovery ahead and no clearance to return to work until well after the holidays, our financial situation became tight. AJ, a basketball trainer and coach, was doing all he could—but it wasn’t enough to support us. Leaning on my past experience of cleaning houses, we decided to take a leap and start our own cleaning business.
And that’s how Juicy Clean began—out of necessity, love, resilience, and the drive to create something of our own.
At first, we worked evenings and weekends around my full-time office job. But by November 2024, my contract was ending, and we made the decision to go all in. In January 2025, we took the risk to pursue Juicy Clean full time—and we haven’t looked back since.
In just five months, we’ve tripled our monthly income. We specialize in cleaning homes, Airbnbs, and small commercial spaces throughout the LA and Orange County areas. More than just cleaning, we believe in creating calm through cleanliness—because a clean space leads to a clear mind.
Our mission is to keep serving our community with care, consistency, and heart. We’re growing our team and dreaming big—one day, we hope to collaborate with brands to launch our own line of Juicy Clean products like room sprays, cleaning accessories, and even branded aprons.
